01Who we are
This policy explains how Zerophix (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website and when you contact us. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Zerophix is the Data Fiduciary for that data and you are the Data Principal.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to contact@zerophix.com.
02What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, work email, mobile number with country code, company name (optional), the services you’re interested in and your message.
- Gitfinity waitlist: your email address.
- Emails to us: whatever you choose to include, such as a CV and portfolio when you apply for a job.
Information collected automatically
- Visit and click records: the page you’re on, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and the time. We record this once per browser session and when a “Book a consultation” button is clicked.
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, including IP addresses, to run and secure the website.
We don’t ask for passwords, payment details, government IDs or other sensitive information on this website. Please don’t include them in messages to us.
03How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a consultation and prepare a proposal.
- To tell you when Gitfinity is ready, if you joined the waitlist.
- To consider your job application.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To keep the website secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for advertising or automated decisions about you.
04Your consent
We process the data you send us on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form or email us. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to contact@zerophix.com; withdrawing is as easy as giving it. Withdrawal doesn’t affect anything we did before it, but we may then be unable to respond to your enquiry. Where the law permits processing without consent, for example to comply with a legal requirement, we rely on those legitimate uses instead.
06Where your data is stored
Our service providers may store or process data on servers outside India. We transfer data only as permitted under the DPDP Act, and never to a country the Government of India has restricted, and we choose providers that protect data to a standard consistent with this policy.
07How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, or for the length of our contract and any legally required period if you become a client.
- Gitfinity waitlist: until we’ve told you about the launch, or until you ask us to remove you.
- Job applications: up to 12 months, so we can consider you for future openings.
- Visit and click records: up to 12 months.
After that we delete the data, or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.
08How we protect it
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to submitted data is limited to the people who need it, using accounts protected by strong authentication. No system is completely secure, but if a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
09Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct, complete or update data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase your data when it’s no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Have your grievances addressed by us.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, email contact@zerophix.com from the address you used with us. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the time the law allows.
10Grievances
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, write to our Grievance Officer at contact@zerophix.com with “Privacy grievance” in the subject line. We will acknowledge it promptly and resolve it within the period set by law.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once you have first raised it with us.
12Children
This website is meant for businesses and job seekers aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their data, contact us at contact@zerophix.com and we will delete it.
13Other websites
Our website may link to other sites. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies too.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We’ll post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and where the law requires, ask for your consent again before using your data in a new way.
